Bloomington is a unincorporated census-designated place (CDP) in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 19,318 at the 2000 census. Though unincorporated at the current time, many of the town's political activists are pushing for Bloomington to attain cityhood. This effort is lead by the BIC, or the Bloomington Incorporation Committee.[1]

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 15.5 km (6.0 mi), all land.

As of the censusGR2 of 2000, there were 19,318 people, 4,950 households, and 4,128 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 1,249.4/km (3,236.8/mi). There were 5,260 housing units at an average density of 340.2/km (881.3/mi). The racial makeup of the CDP was 54.03% White, 4.03% African American, 1.79% Native American, 1.11% Asian, 0.20% Pacific Islander, 34.51% from other races, and 4.34% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 64.38% of the population.
